Printmethods / In-mould

Packaging should be eye-catching

Toppac offer packaging decoration in the form of colourants and in-mould labelling (IML). Selected colours and labels made of polypropylene (PP) can be integrated into the container and lid. This type of labelling uses no toxic additives or other materials, precisely because “the print is placed within the material”, and therefore cannot come into contact with the contents of the packaging. This, understandably, offers food safety and good hygiene.

In-mould solutions are long-lasting, attractive, and of high quality.

At the same time, it is accepted that up to *80% of the consumer’s retail shopping decisions are made in-store and do not feature on shopping lists. There is therefore every reason to reinforce your product’s unique identity. Colours can make all the difference; from being eye-catching, to creating a contrast between the lid and container with two different colours.

We follow the dominant international market trends closely, and are happy to share our knowledge with you. Give us a call to learn more about how consumers behave, consciously or unconsciously, when choosing one packaging over another. We have several examples of how newly developed or redesigned packaging has increased awareness, customer ratings and, not least, earnings.

*20% of a purchasing decision is made on the basis of rational consideration, while 80% is controlled by emotional motivation – in site, i.e. in the store. This fact is documented in a research project that was conducted in collaboration between Copenhagen Business School and Rambøll Management Consulting, in 2019 titled Customer Experience Management in Danish retail.
